Schools =! Creativity?

Glenn Wiebe blogged about a TED presentation by Sir Ken Robinson about a particular failure of our school systems to recognise intelligences other than knowledge-based. While some progress has been made in acknowledging that our teaching styles ought to reach out to spatial/kinesthetic/musical/etc. learners, our evaluation systems are very much knowledge-oriented. A good, short (<20 min) presentation on areas where schools could improve, starting with simply recognising that students who are gifted in other areas are demonstrating particular intelligences that have as much right to be nurtured as knowledge skills.
