Alberta Election

After picking the Saskatchewan election right on at 38-20 (http://www.marturia.net/blog/?p=3087), it is time for an Alberta prediction. At the risk of Jeremying it (a wildly optimistic partisan prediction), I am guessing 61-17-4-1, the same result as last time.

I guess I was wildly pessimistic as it turned out to be 72-9-2. Good old conservative Alberta.

Indeed – new record, and obviously the people of Alberta are happy with the direction the province is heading… what was the breakdown in the popular vote?

Popular vote was PC 52.7 Lib 26.4 NDP 8.5 WAP 6.8 Gre 4.6. The WAP is a Huckabee-like concoction of social conservatism and government expansionism. The media says they are the furthest right, but I am not so sure, if I thought they were actually conservative I might have voted for them.
