Big News Week

New VanSo, two big pieces of news this week:

- we bought a minivan
- I got accepted to an M.Ed program

So, our Veracruz had reached the end of its life with use, so we were looking to replace it with something.  Since we’d last bought a car, we’ve added Noelle to the family, so it was no longer possible to avoid a minivan. I spent part of the week of February break test driving a bunch of different vans to see which one we were going to buy.  We settled on a Dodge Grand Caravan (Crew) because it has a great balance of features for the price.  We are apparently the only ones to even test drive this particular van, so we put on every kilometer since it arrived on the lot with 19 on the odometer. Hooray!

My other big news is that I applied (again) to start an M.Ed. program at the University of Saskatchewan.  The particular program I applied to is Educational Technology and Design (ETAD).  The ETAD program focuses on designing and delivering education through technology (that’s a vast oversimplification, but not entirely inaccurate).  I’m very excited to start as a student in the fall, though it will mean picking up some study habits from Mandi, since I haven’t been a student in over a decade.

    What a good week.

Congrats on the M.Ed. program; it is the coolest masters program with the coolest people on the planet as part of it!
