So I’ll be the first to admit that because of my wide variety of classes taught, my marking has been somewhat schizophrenic.  I don’t generally mark the same way in CPT as I do in History, French or Science, and each class lends itself to specific ways of gathering marks.  Readers will note that I [...]

Christmas Loot

Submitted by Ian Hecht on December 25, 2009 – 9:22 pm2 Comments

Merry Christmas everyone!  I hope everyone had a great day with family and/or friends.  We had a fun day of food, presents, movies, food and food.  We opened many gifts this morning, both kids were pleased with their haul, as were the adults.

I got most of what I asked for, along with some things I hadn’t thought to ask for.  Highlights are a series of books by James Rollins, a couple of action movies, toasty slippers, and the series collection of Stargate SG-1 (all 10 seasons in one box! Woot!).

Later, we went to see some films.  The younger crew saw the Chipmunks movie (which they liked, by all accounts), and Mandi and I went to Sherlock Holmes.  It’s pretty fun, and looks to be setting up a series.

How was your Christmas?  What did you get, and what did you do?

I’ve actually sat through most of the ten seasons of Stargate….we have them all under our roof, too. I got hooked.
Did you have snow for Christmas? That’s one thing I miss about the coast – although we did have sun this year.
Loot involved clothes, shoes and jammies…..and lots of books. All of my favourite things…..
    Merry belated Christmas!

We did indeed have snow, though not as much as other years. October and November traded places this year, so we only really got snow that stayed at the beginning of December…
